Terms & Conditions
1.0 General
1.1 We try to call customers 15 to 30 minutes before our arrival. If there is no answer, we reserve the right to cancel the appointment with no charge to the customer.
1.2 Our normal hours of work are between 7am and 7pm. We do provide 24-hour service, but extra charges may apply out of normal hours.
2.0 Liability
2.1 We do not accept liability for any loss, damage, or injury howsoever arising, save as specified below:
2.1.1 Personal injury or death which is a direct result of negligence on the part of Manchester Wasp Control in the course of carrying out the services.
2.1.2 Replacement or repair, at our option, of any fixtures or fittings significantly damaged as a result of our work. However, when we have advised the customer before starting the work that the work cannot be carried out without such damage, the customer understands that by giving permission for us to carry out the work, he or she is agreeing that we will not be liable for replacement or repair that was advised in advance would be necessary.
2.2 The customer shall not be entitled to make any claim against Manchester Wasp Control or its employees unless he or she gives written notice that provides sufficient information to enable us to complete an investigation the claim within 28 days of the date on which the client becomes or ought reasonably to have become aware of the occurrence of such event.
2.3 Manchester Wasp Control shall in no circumstances have any liability for any loss of profit, use, or business interruption, or other indirect economic or consequential loss or damage.
3.0 Force Majeure
3.1 If circumstances reasonably beyond our control, such as but not limited to weather or travel disruption, cause delay or prevent us from carrying out work as agreed or booked online, the work may have to be rescheduled for a future date.
4.0 Payments
4.1 Business clients will be provided with an invoice, payable within 30 days.
4.2 Residential customers payment is due upon the completion of the work.
4.3 Payment for work booked by the customer to be carried out while the customer is absent from the premises, is due within seven days after treatment is carried out.
4.4 Failure to pay in a timely manner may incur late payment charges.
4.5 Acceptable payment methods: cash, all major credit cards, cheque or bank transfer. Please contact us for further information if required.
5.0 Treatments
5.1 Treatments when customer not present
5.2 By submitting your booking via our online system, you authorise Liverpool Wasp Control to carry out the requested work and you agree to pay for the work carried out.
6.0 Data Protection
6.1 We collect personal data through our booking forms. This data will never be provided to third parties unless we are legally required to do so. We will take care to keep your data safe in accordance with the Data Protection Act, and we will never sell your information.
7.0 Call-Out Fees
7.1 We reserve the right to charge a call-out fee where we think it's applicable, for example, when we cannot access the premises or where no treatment is carried out after our arrival on-site due to reasons beyond our control, or if no pests are found.
7.2 If the customer decides not to have work carried out after our arrival on-site, we reserve the right to charge a call-out fee.
7.3 If in the event, the engineer finds a honey bee nest instead of a wasp nest, a call-out fee will be applied. Honey bees are and endangered species and will only be treated in extreme circumstances. Identification of the infestation must be made prior to booking.
8.0 Cancellations
8.1 All appointment and bookings must be canceled in a timely manner. We expect 24 hour notice of a cancellation.
8.2 In the event of an emergency, cancellations can be made 4 hours before the appointment.
8.3 All cancellations not adhered to, may be charged at our normal rates.
9.0 Complaints
9.1 All complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days.
10.0 Honey Bees
10.1 Honey Bees are and endangered species and will only be treated in extreme circumstances.
10.2 Identification of the infestation must be made prior to booking.
10.3 The treatment cost for honey bee infestation is much high, due to the difficulties in treatment.
10.4 A call-out fee will be applied if honey bees are found instead of wasps. Identification of the infestation must be made prior to the booking.
